Wedding Colors for the Mother of the Bride
We were recently asked by a soon to be Mother of the bride whose daughter is being married in December if it’s appropriate for her to wear white as well since it is a winter wedding.
While you will find quite the section of white dresses for the mother of the bride and more and more wedding parties are turning to white as a preferred and classy color trend (think Pippa Middleton), we say just because the Royals do it, does not mean it is socially acceptable for your particular wedding attire.
As the mother of the bride, you have quite a vital role and we all want all daughters to be the focal point of their weddings. Komarov believes that although you can certainly incorporate white into your attire and/or accessories, it’s best to stick with more neutral colors which compliment the wedding party yet not take attention away from the bride.
Here is a fabulously neutral, yet stunning ensemble that can make both the bride and YOU, the mother of the bride or groom for that matter shine in your own unique style. Plus, this dress is one that you can easily wear to other events and weddings, combining with various colors of accessories each time to keep the look new and fresh.
Happy Wedding Planning!
